About Greg

Greg is a Specialist General and Colorectal Surgeon. He studied Biomedical Science at the University of Technology, Sydney. He graduated with First Class Honours conducting research in electrophysiology and was placed on the Dean’s Merit list for Academic Excellence. Whilst working as a Scientific Officer for a Pathology company he completed a Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle and graduated with Honours. He completed the General Surgery Training Program via the Hunter New England Health District. Greg was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and completed a General Surgery Fellowship year at Gosford Hospital. He completed his subspecialty training in Colorectal Surgery at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Adelaide and the Gold Coast University Hospital and was admitted as a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand.

 

Greg is employed as a Staff Specialist at Gold Coast University Hospital and is a Consultant Surgeon with admitting rights at Gold Coast Private Hospital and Pindara Private Hospital. He teaches Medical students, Surgical trainees and Fellows on the Colorectal training program. He received the Professor Derek Frewin Citation for Clinical Teaching whilst working at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide. Greg has published and presented in international journals and conferences and has been a co-investigator in clinical trials. He regularly attends ongoing professional development courses and international conferences.
